A new era in Executive Education for Australia's agribusiness industry has begun with the announcement of a high-calibre leadership development pathway. The next AMDP is 6 - 10 August 2012. A small investment of $3500 includes full program delivery, materials, meals and other activities such as opening and closing dinners with guest presenters and networking. Delivered in an intensive residential format over a 5-day block at The University of Adelaide, the AMDP is a quick and compact introduction to the core management and leadership capabilities required to broaden and strengthen the productivity of middle-to-senior agribusiness managers in Australia. Participants can have varying levels of industry and management experience; and previous study at university is not required. The AMDP is also ideal for managers or professionals with existing tertiary qualifications that are looking for either a foundation management course or a bridging course into further management study. Together with learning the essential foundations of contemporary management thinking, program participants will have the opportunity to discuss and explore their learning outcomes and the critical challenges facing Australian agribusiness with recognised local and international industry leaders including such names as Mr Malcolm Jackman - CE & MD of Elders; and Mr Perry Gunner - Deputy Chair of Viterra Inc. Early-bird, group & referral discounts available. The AMDP will bring together a diverse mix of like-minded agribusiness people from the many segments of the agricultural industry that are all striving to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving business environment. This is an opportunity for Australian agribusiness employers to upgrade the leadership and management capabilities of their existing people. Capability development is about teaching people how to think, rather than act, in particular situations. Doing things right will always be important; but true value is created when senior managers and business leaders have the vision to ask if we are in fact doing the right things. Executive Education at its best - grow your own talent. We encourage all employers to support any request from staff wanting to build on their management and leadership skills.
